MEET EUROPE IN LIDO DI JESOLO
A large part of tourists who spend their holidays every year in Lido di Jesolo come from outside Italy. People of different ages and languages meets and knows each other in this international seaside resort near Venice.

SEA – AIR
The regular sea currents of the Adriatic, which come from the deep Yugoslavian coasts, together with the force of the tide, help to maintain the sea water of Jesolo at a high degree of salinity and jodine. By rail: Regular bus services are in connection with national and international trains arriving at the following stations: Venice-Mestre (45Km) Udine (110Km) Treviso (48Km) and San Donà di Piave (20Km).

By road: For travellers coming from the motorways Torino-Milano-Venezia, Brennero-Verona-Venezia, Roma-Bologna-Padova, way out at Quarto d’Altino on the motor-way Venezia-Trieste; for travellers coming from Tarvisio-Udine and Trieste, way out at San Donà di Piave on the motor-way Trieste-Venezia.

By bus: Direct bus connection from Lido di Jesolo to the most important centres of Venetia, Venetia Julia, South Tyrol’ Lom bardy, Piedmont and abroad.

By lagoon: Every half an hour regular boat service from Punta Sabbioni (18Km) to the historical centre of Venice (St.Mark’s Square). Another boat service connects Treporti (15Km) with Burano, Murano, Torcello and Venice. Direct bus service from Lido di Jesolo to Punta Sabbioni, and vice versa.


BEACH – SAND
The sandy beach of Lido di Jesolo, sloping gently down to the sea, is particularly safe for children, who can play in the water without danger. The extremely fine sand is mostly siliceous, and thus rich in therapeutic properties. Because of the almost complete absence of dust, the purity of the atmosphere permits intense sun radiation and thus the sand at midday reaches a high temperature wich is considered particularly suitable for all sea therapies. Since some ten-year periods a renowned sun-bathing establishment, very appreciated also by sporting organizations, is operating in Lido di Jesolo.

BEACH SERVICES
All beach services (access to the shgre, parasols, deck-chairs,bathing huts, etc) are always included in Lido di Jesolo in the prices of hotels and bed & breakfast. To supervise the safety of swimmers, life guard teams and fist aid points are placed at regular intervals all along the beac. This service is under the control of Jesolo Hospital’ a complete and up-to-date medical centre. On the beach there are also many points where boats can be hired putting hundreds of small craft at the disposal of holiday-makers.
